Training > Service Providers
It is important that disabled children receive the same high quality of service and respect from all the services they access, as well as from their school.
Different types of service providers may need slightly different training, and this course can be aimed at your specific requirements.
Our Service Provider training courses
This course trains staff of service providers such as charities, leisure centres, child-minders, private nurseries, and parent groups, in their duties under the Equality Act (EA) to disabled children in their care. It also includes the awareness of disabled people and how best to treat them. It is suitable for all staff, from managers to occasional staff.
Many case studies throughout the course show examples of situations that could occur in your centre, and how you should handle these within the EA. Videos show examples of good practice in including disabled children in activities.
